Night Lightning Package ?????

was walking around my favorite local scrapyard when i stumbled across this

anyone have any info about it , it appears to be a fullsize tailgate , mis 80's , but i could be wrong and it could be a Ranger tailgate maybe

, didnt have a tape to take measurements

In 1991-1992, Ford offered a 'Nite' package on the F-150 and Bronco. It was nothing more than a blacked out trim package. In 1993, Ford introduced the SVT Lightning and did away with the 'Nite'. It seems a little bizarre that you founs a Nite Lightning logo on a black Ford tailgate. The lightning never had the style of tailgate shown though. The logo may be something that someone just stuck on there. Pretty strange though. There wasn't any blacked out Fords around?

unfortunantly Jim , there were no trucks around this tailgate , i just happened across it because i thought it was a first gen ranger tailgate , from what i could tell there was maybe only a half dozen of the early 80's F-series ( relatively small yard ) and i didnt notice if any of them were blacked out , i will be going back there next weekend , i may buy the tailgate and also look around for a blacked out F-series , see if i can find something , it was a local truck , so it may have been a dealer package ?
