Needed advice-auto to manual on 86 F150

I've been searching for a while and still haven't found the information I need. The AOD tranny recently went out in my 86 F150 4x4 and now that its dead, ive been considering swapping in a manual transmission. I could replace it with another auto but 1 this is my project truck and 2 i hate automatics. So, how hard is this if it is even possible? Are 86's with the 302 hydraulic or mechanical clutches, and did these trucks have 4sp or 5sp? If I do decide, I would probably find a parts truck and rip out all the necessary parts. Also, any other info that I'm missing that you guys could include would be really helpful. And of course, thank you to all in advance.
