  • Suspension: Eibach PRO-KIT (2-inch front / 3.5-inch rear drop)

This build focuses on street performance, visual balance, and daily drivability rather than off-road capability or factory appearance packages.

This lowered 2022 Ford Maverick street cruiser shows how a base XL model can be transformed into a clean, performance-inspired daily driver. Featuring an Eibach PRO-KIT lowering kit, 20-inch Niche Milan wheels, Magnaflow exhaust, and subtle custom touches, this Maverick proves you don’t need a factory performance package to build a standout street truck.

To get the right stance, an Eibach PRO-KIT (E10-35-057-01-22) 2-inch front and 3.5-inch rear lowering kit was installed. Eibach’s PRO-KIT delivers high performance handling and improved appearance, without compromising ride quality. It also received Niche Milan 20-inch wheels with Pirelli Scorpion tires 235/45R20 tires. The open design of the wheels leaves the calipers visible, so they were painted racing red to draw more attention to the wheels. The red calipers are also indicative of performance since many sport cars have painted calipers.

Adding to the new performance feel of the Maverick is a Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust that makes the Maverick sound as awesome as it looks. The exhaust exits in front of the passenger side rear tire through dual black tips.

To add to the performance look, a cab spoiler was painted white to match the truck and mounted on the rear of the cab. The XL fender vents, door handles, emblems, and Ford oval were also painted white to match the truck. A custom black strobe stripe with a red accent to compliment the red brake calipers help give the Maverick that performance package vibe. A black Maverick tailgate inlay compliments the black stripe on the sides.

RGB LED lights were mounted under the bed rail. The cool thing about these lights is that you can change the color of the lights. Imagine how fun it would be to tailgate in this truck with the 600-watt subwoofer and those color changing LED bed lights! The bed also received a spray in bedliner to protect the bed from damage that could lead to rust.

On the inside, the windows were treated to 3M premium window tint (35%) to protect the interior from UV rays and create some privacy.

The XL models do not come with cruise control, but it can be easily added with a Rostra Cruise Control Kit.

The stereo was upgraded with a DS18 SQBASS8 600-watt low profile slim amplified 8-inch subwoofer with remote bass control mounted behind the rear seat.

This is a beautiful and well thought out truck. And best of all, it’s unique and not like every other Maverick on the road.

Growing up, my father always believed that every family needed a truck—there’s just something about having a vehicle capable of hauling anything at a moment’s notice. That philosophy stuck with me, and it’s been the foundation of my lifelong passion for Ford trucks.

While I’m best known for my work with Ford Rangers, I’ve owned a wide variety of Ford trucks over the years—including F-150s, F-250s, F-350s, and even larger rigs like the Ford Excursion, Ford Expedition, and a 1982 Ford Econoline Sportsmobile camper van. I’ve used these vehicles for everything from family transportation to towing car trailers and campers, and each one has fueled my love for Ford’s versatility and durability.

I especially enjoy the styling of 1970s and 1980s Ford trucks—the bold designs, rugged presence, and classic charm are timeless. Sharing my passion for Ford trucks, vans, and SUVs with other enthusiasts online brings me a great deal of joy, and it’s why I created Blue Oval Trucks.

This website is dedicated to helping Ford truck enthusiasts explore, learn about, and celebrate these incredible vehicles. While I share my expertise and experiences here, Blue Oval Trucks is an independent enthusiast site and is not affiliated with Ford Motor Company.
