There’s been a growing movement though with modern pickups. Especially Fords. You may have seen videos of them beating Mustangs, Corvettes, and even Lamborghini’s on YouTube. People with fast cars are learning to be careful about lining up against a single-cab short-bed truck at a red light or messing with one on the freeway. This Gas Monkey Garage 2025 Ford F-150 4×4 is the ultimate testament to the surging “Muscle Truck” subculture, packing over 800 crank horsepower using a completely stock engine block and straightforward, bolt-on performance parts.
But It’s A 4×4?
The ‘4×4’ sticker on the bed may suggest to your brain that this can’t be a fast vehicle when in reality it’s signaling just how big of a threat that this truck may be. A 4×4 platform solves the severe traction issues of a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) truck. Sending that massive horsepower and torque through all four wheels gives the truck a tremendous traction advantage, allowing harder launches with far less wheelspin and helping keep the truck planted under acceleration.
