A Lifted 2018 Ford Expedition

Ford claims that 20 percent of Expedition owners use their vehicles in rugged situations. As a result, Ford has began offering the Expedition with the FX4 package (See 2018 Ford Expedition FX4). Manufacturers such as Readylift have already begun offering a 3-inch leveling kit (3-inch front / 2-inch rear) for the redesigned 2018 Expeditions, and some dealers have even added them to an Expedition on their lot.

Case in point is the 2018 Expedition at the top of this page that was sold by Watts Automotive, and the one directly below that was sold by Sarasota Ford.

The 3-inch leveling kit definitely gives the Ford Expedition a nice stance, as well as room for larger tires.

This 2018 Ford Expedition now sports 35×12.5/R20 Toyo Tires on 20-inch Hostile Wheels.

These leveling kits work by adding a spacer on top of your strut (basically a shock with a spring over it), so you don’t have to worry about longer shots. You just need to make sure the brake lines are lowered in the rear, and get a wheel alignment when it’s done.

Expect 5-hours of labor time.

By the way, Readylift also offers P/N 69-2070 to level the 2003-2017 Ford Expedition.
