The following wheelbases are being provided to assist you when planning for a body and suspension conversion. Many people have found that it is more practical to put a Ranger on a full size frame, then to start swapping engines and axles. Swapping frames requires custom fabrication to mount the body.
This chart will help you find a frame that is close in
wheelbase to your existing wheelbase.

Note that the Difference in wheelbase between the
long bed and short bed Ranger is 6 inches. Adding a long bed on a super cab model should give it a wheelbase of approximately 131.4 inches. Close to a '73-'96 long bed wheelbase of 133, and right on the '67-'72
long beds wheelbase of 131 inches. Remember that as you add lift, the wheel base tolerance
increase, and lift can alter a trucks' wheelbase to a small degree. The added wheelbase may even add stability when climbing steep inclines.
